In
Witchcraft all acts of love and pleasure are Ritual. Sexuality is a direct expression of the life force,
and is seen as numinous and sacred.
It can be expressed freely as long as the guiding principle is love.
A
Witch does not believe in casual sex .
The act of sex is considered a commitment of magic, spirit and a psychic
bond.
Because
of the power a witch can achieve
during and after the union, she will never give herself freely to someone that
she does not consider a true mate.
The
energy created between these two at consummation can be so powerful as to alter
the future course of things.
Dedication
of body
There
is a power that is achieved during the act of sexual union that is so strong it
has the strength to move into the inner self.
During lovemaking the connection of these two people will stir
senses that would not normally be achieved.
A wise
witch will use her powers to see into what she would not normally be
able to.
She will sustain these powers when away from her partner . They guide her into the future and increase the connection between these two people. Because of her total commitment to this one person she will be able to see things more clearly and predict outcomes more accurately.
Because a witch does not give herself lightly to her partner she has time to prepare herself for this step in a relationship.
A symbol of power and strength is prepared beforehand. A gold band .
This band should be cleansed beforehand. This is done by showing under full moon and washed in the water left out whilst drawing down the moon.
She will keep the ring in a black cloth until after the union between both of them.
To sustain her powers and to love, protect and guide she will repeat the dedication:
" I wear this charmed circle to show love, and create an atmosphere of consideration and respect.
This ring represents the circle of life, the symbol of spirit, for which was in the beginning.
In the name of the triple goddess I pledge my life. For even though our paths may be different, I will always be your true friend. To love, guide and protect in this lifetime and if So be it beyond. I aim to move us into imaginable reaches of time and knowledge.
Therefore, as from this day. I will wear this circle of faith to remind me of a love and commitment . To be able to see the visions of our futures, a symbol of trust since our union."
Afterwards she will give thanks to the God and Goddess and ask for protection and guidance for both of them.
